I am a therapist and artist. 

I am a registered Social Worker (SACSSP: 10575537) with an Honours Degree in Psychology.

eople have been relying on the arts for communication, self-expression, and healing for thousands of years.

For 12 years, I was involved in 13thFLOOR a faith-based Trust that ran a GAP-year arts program for 20 years (1995-2015). The GAP year program focused on renewing minds, transforming lives and embracing cultural diversity, empowering young people of all races and cultures to impact South Africa, a country that has experienced a lot of pain in order to appreciate the blessing and value of racial unity and integration. Over the years we have done similar work in Namibia, Mozambique, England and the USA.

13thFLOOR primarily made use of the performing arts, multimedia and community service to impact young people in a language they understood. Growth was cultivated within the young people who served as volunteer students for a year or more of their lives by means of teaching, training and mentoring processes, as well as purposeful community service and exposure to varied realities.
